Ang sikat na libro sa Estados Unidos na “Sign Here: a contracting book for children and their parents” na nailimbag noong 1980 ay narito na sa Pilipinas! Ginawaran ng nag-iisang lisensya ng mga may akda na sina Jill C. Dardig at William L. Heward ang ABA Training Solutions na isalin sa wikang Filipino ang kanilang obra maestra. Ang Pirma Ka Dito (Sign Here) ay isang aklat para sa mga bata, mga magulang, at mga guro. Ito, una sa lahat, ay isang kuwentong pambata na may kaugnayan sa mga problema sa pamilya samantalang ang lahat na miyembro ay natututong makipamuhay nang masaya at nagkakaisa.

Ang pagkakaroon ng iba’t ibang tauhan na pantay-pantay ang katayuan ay nagpapadali na kilalanin ng bumabasa ang sino mang karakter. Pangkaraniwan ang kanilang mga problema kung kaya kaagad itong nakikita ng kahit sinong miyembro ng pamilya na magbabasa ng kuwento.

Jill C. Dardig

Jill C. Dardig is Professor Emerita of Education at Ohio Dominican University
where she trained special education teachers for 30 years. At ODU she was
awarded the Booth-Ferris Master Faculty Award and was selected as an ODU
Centennial Person of Influence. A longtime member of the Board of Trustees of the St. Joseph Home for women with disabilities, Dr. Dardig has also served as a curriculum specialist for the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and as a consultant at Centro da Vilariñha, a program that teaches independent living and vocational skills to teenagers and young adults with developmental disabilities in Porto, Portugal. She has been a visiting professor at Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, and presented workshops for teachers and parents in Europe, South America, and Asia. Dr. Dardig has written several books and other publications about and for parents including Involving Parents of Students with Special Needs: 25 Ready-to-Use Strategies (Corwin Press, 2008). Jill has an A.B. from Mount Holyoke College and an M.Ed. and Ed.D. from the University of Massachusetts.

William L. Heward

William L. Heward is Professor Emeritus in the College of Education and
Human Ecology at Ohio State University. Dr. Heward has taught at universities in Brazil, Japan, Portugal, and Singapore and given lectures and workshops in 23 other countries. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and Past
President of the Association for Behavior Analysis International, Dr. Heward co-authored the books Applied Behavior Analysis (3rd ed., Pearson, 2020)
and Exceptional Children: An Introduction to Special Education (12th ed.,
Pearson, 2022). Combined sales for these two titles total more than one million copies. Bill has also written for the popular market. Some Are Called
Clowns (Crowell, 1974) chronicled his five summers as a pitcher for the
Indianapolis Clowns, the last of the barnstorming baseball teams. Bill has a B.A. from Western Michigan University and an Ed.D. from the University of
Massachusetts.
